Asda quail

Post by sally on Thu Jun 12, 2008 10:19 pm

Bought some quail eggs from Asda 18 days ago, thought I would put them in my incubator to see if I get any babies.

Every year I buy a few eggs - quail & chicken - as you always hear of success at hatching them, but never had any luck myself, until now Very Happy I have 7 fluffy quail running round the incubator. All look healthy. The eggs were much bigger than the normal japanese eggs also in the incubator.

Im sooo pleased, cant believe Ive actually had some success after all these years! Laughing cheers

Was looking for this post earlier - how strange it turns up now Very Happy
My Asda quail have just started laying - eggs are normal size at the moment, but hope they get bigger - the birds seem huge - except the golden male - he is tiny scratch Will weigh the birds and eggs over the weekend
