Text Language & Short Hand

Being an oldie, I'm struggling to understand some of the short hand being used by our youngsters. I find that I'm having to read some posts twice or more to understand whats being said.
Looking at the rules & etiquette of other forums text & short hand are not permitted, as it puts potentials members off joining. I think banning it's use is taking it a bit far, but I do think we should restrict the use of Text Language to the more recognised form.
I hope this OK with everybody

Post containing to much abbreviations will be deleted. Thanks
