i've just opened my Solero ice cream lolly started licking it and to my horror there sticking out a caterpillar :O
discusting its around 1-1.5cm and yellow
anyone have any ideas as to what type it is?

Bit minging that though, years ago I found a bluebottle in a tin of tuna and a forkietail (earwig) in a can of coke, oh and my sister found a deep fried slater (wood louse) in her chips from the local chipper.

I don't know Keelan, but as much as you can get. But take lots of pics of you looking very traumatised and sickened by the whole thing. Get your gran and a disabled people person in the same pic if possible

I don't mind a bug getting into my food when I eating in the garden but to buy it with one already in it makes me worry how it was made, but tbh I'm a pig and probally would (depending on the bug and food) pick it out and finish eating the food, or feed it too the dog

I've heard all sorts of horror stories of dead mice in coke bottles and false teeth in cakes.

Think the company needs to know they have something wrong for their production process at the very least. I get anaphylactic attacks from some random batches of bread. Sometimes I think the hygeine standards can get quite lax.

Very lax i would say andoy lol, i havn't got a clue how it managed to get in there it was a sorbet lolly too so i would have thought that the catty would have been sliced up into how many pieces. i do Food manufacturing at college and when ever we produce food all berries etc (ingredients) are thoroughly checked and quality checks completed then after its all washed, if there is physical contamination in the resulting batch it's thrown out, so we are even more so thorough in checking to reduce any wastages.
