thought i would post a lil profile on californian quail:

Californian quail

Latin name: Callipepla Californica

Approximate size: 9½ - 10½ inches

Incubation period: 22 - 23 days

Characteristics

.Best kept in pairs
.Easy to sex
.Popular quail to keep
.Male has white and black mask, bright blue / grey chest
.Female - dull in colour and has streaks under the chin
