Re: Lawn Mowers
Donald's a magpie duck and is actually white with light blue (very pale grey) in the flesh. Being drakes these aren't very noisy although they do have their moments.

They are all drakes (males), females are called ducks lol. No they don't fight, but they do try to get frisky with each other. I don't think all cockerels fight either I've 3 mature Silkie cockerels together, umpteen bobwhite cocks & even more Japanese cocks living happily with each other.

Re: Lawn Mowers
yip my drakes are huge (I'll see if I can get them to stand on the bathroom scales in a minute), my hubby keeps threatening to have them for Xmas lunch lol ... definitely pure bred ... I collected them in person from a well known Scottish breeder, saw all her breeding pens which are breed specific ... no eBay mixtures here lol.
I actually went up for Californian something anothers or Mandarin's, but decided they weren't for me as kitting out the aviary was too much hassle, then looked at her apricot calls, but they were so noisy I though living on a burn-side with wild mallards was asking for trouble, so the kids picked a different coloured day old 'ling from her heavy breed pens & I picked Daffy the little runner for me

Re: Lawn Mowers
They must all be quite big then. I was tempted by Blue Swedish and Saxony, but thought they might be too large for my garden. I imagined they would be almost the size of a small goose.
Yeah, Daffy is my favourite too.
