Mouse House - UPDATED with mice pictures
I needed a quickly built house for some mice I'm picking up later today (will update with pictures
)Here's the result.

I cut a hole in the lid, using a heated up knife (use an old one, it gets messy!) And then fastened some wire on using cable ties.
You could probably make one similar for poorly quails or a brooder, it doesnt take long and works out quite a lot cheaper than a cage.

Re: Mouse House - UPDATED with mice pictures
Found a pic of my old tub cage, might offer a bit more inspiration! Its pieced together cos it was taken on an old video cam and the room was too small to get it all in one shot!
Here's the inside before the extra tub was added -

And the two together!

I could have caught you some of those from my kitchen Claire!
p.s. mine are quite clever too, they've figured out how to take food from the traps without getting caught.
