Brown Egg!
One of my quail has just laid a brown egg!!! Looks exactly the same as a normal quail egg with spots etc but the background colour is brown not cream. Weird. Anyone had this before??

Re: Brown Egg!
My ranges eggs are usually browner than normal, I've also had white eggs with no spots, eggs which look greenish blue and eggs which you can see pictures in the spots (might just be with a fertile imagination )

Re: Brown Egg!
Wow, I've not seen one that dark before. When you said brown originally, I thought you meant beige/brown. That's almost a chestnut colour

What a lovely array of eggs you all have - I would be happy with just one - any shape colour or size would do me
