A Visit to Welwyn Quails Empty A Visit to Welwyn Quails

Post by Ravenshadow Mon May 26, 2008 2:49 am

Today I undertook a journey that is fast becoming a ‘rite of passage’ for new quail breeders. This adventure included quails by the hundreds, £1000 canaries, electric fences, lightning reflexes and a flat battery.

I spent a wonderful day with Nino and Dimity and I wrote the whole thing in my blog. I do not want to spoil the many suprises that others may find in visiting their wonderful home. If you wish to read the whole thing, here is the link (Ravenshadow's Welwyn Adventure).

It was four hours that felt like five minutes and even if I forget half of the fantastic advice Nino gave me I will still have learned a lot. These wonderful people clearly have alot of visitors to their house and if everyone is made to feel as welcome as we were its no wonder that many of them want to go back. I can’t thank them enough for their help.

The world needs more Nino’s and Dimity’s.

I shall be updating the blog at intervals when I am able to open the incubator up to have a peek and will write down anything noticed. Am setting the eggs today, and already finding a few niggles with the Corti Incubator (maybe I just need to get used to it, who knows). Will write everything down in the blog, so those interested can keep up to date Smile

For those interested, you should be able to sign up as a user on the blog pages and leave comments. Well, should be able to as long as I have set things up correctly at any rate!

*goes back to fiddling with the setting procedure*
