Big Pussycats
I paid a visit to Nino and Dimity yesterday, and in all the excitement I almost forgot about going to see the big cats! Luckily Dimity remembered so off we went. There's only a few pics as some of them looked a bit hungry so I didn't want to poke the camera too close! there's an absolutely gorgeous leopard with such lush fur, but she did growl a little too much!
Little Lynx who miaowed at us
Sleepy Snow Leopards (looking rather cuddly!).
The Bobcat.
The filmstar himself. He was having a little doze halfway down his pen and wouldn't come to the front no matter how much Nino called him. Eventually I got him to come over by playing "peek-a-boo", hiding behind the wall then popping my head out He must like his food to play with him!

Re: Big Pussycats
Yep I had a lovely day, Nino and Dimity are always very welcoming
I've got some piccies of baby Mearns too which I need to sort out and send to Nino and then pop up here. Although s/he's covered in feathers and is hardly a baby now!

Re: Big Pussycats
fantastic pics Emma looks like you got into the snow leopard enclosure to take the 2nd pic, luckily they don't seem hungry (or had lunch already)
Re: Big Pussycats
Aww they are gorgeous!!
Are these kept on Nino and Dimity's garden/land?
Don't you need a zoo license for them?
I wish I has the money/time/space and knowledge to keep a big cat

Re: Big Pussycats
They're not theirs, they belong to some friends just down the road. You do need licenses for them, yep.
Andy - not quite in the enclosure, but it was one that wasn't double wired so while they looked peaceful I poked the camera lens bit through

Re: Big Pussycats
Hehe, I just had a meeting with my supervisors, and we got onto the weather and I said "look I tanned on Sunday!", they asked where I went so I said to visit a Quail Friend and some Snow Leopards...needless to say they thought I was joking, but were quite exited by the big cat piccies!
