1. I've been calling these 'Fawn' but there much lighter than Derek's fawns ... so what colour? (male left, female right)

2. Same birds next to a cinammon (I think). (light birds hatched from Silver/Platinum pen)

3. Another 'Fawn' hen

4. These colours came from my ginger hens (looked like a dark cinammon range) x sil/plat male

5. I've been calling these Blue's .. much darker than Silvers or Platinums, and don't fade as much either.

purely guesses here; scratch

1. looks similar to those pics Derek had, that he called "gold fawn" but lighter
2. "cinnamon" in the back (but it looks a bit darker than usual),
middled "gold fawn",
forground looks cream/gold combo at a guess
3. looks creamy/fawn???
4. looks like a "fawn range" looks very similar to some birds I have (Derek called mine "cinnamon range"), but yours are more rusty
5. is my favourite. range/silver and god knows what else. That is beautiful!!!

I did think about calling light quail champagne or buff but they match those on the QFW website, so went with their name. There definitely not Fawn golds or Gold fawns, they came from silver/Platinum birds.

this might make comparison easier ..

1. Derek's Fawn Gold 2. my lights 3. QFW Fawn 4. QFW Cream

I can see the difference better side by side. The gold/fawn has more of a slight orange glow.

Champagne is probably as an appropriate description as any.
