wanted blue scale quail
Hi, does anyone have any blue scale quails for sale or hatching eggs for sale?
We live in essex but are willing to travel to collect the birds. May travel for eggs but depends on how far.
Thanks
kerry

Try PMing Welwyn Quail, can't remember when he's away on holiday (so you might not get an answer!) but I know he has some - not sure if he's got excess for sale at the moment though.

Re: wanted blue scale quail
they tend to be anywhere between £30 to £50+ per half dozen eggs. I saw some on ebay last week.
They are very attractive birds.

Re: wanted blue scale quail
yes andoy
they do range from those prices, the ones on ebay had a but it now price of £50, and was snapped up.
they was from "northwest quail" who is a member of this site
and i know him, having bought lots of birds from him, (cpq and callis)
he's a really nice bloke, and i think his prices are fair for the quality you get.
i saw Mark just over a week ago, and he tells me his bluescale are hatching in the high 90%'s, so £50 for 6 eggs ain't a bad price really!

Indeed, sounds fair. I think I've spoken to him on chat a couple of times. Also if you buy them from someone recommended and known to keep them you get the real McCoy... as opposed to Suz's cali eggs from eBay, which looked like Japs' eggs.

Re: wanted blue scale quail
You're welcome Suz
He seems to have something listed all the time. I'm on the lookout for silver bobwhites at the moment and I notice Karl seems to always have a listing for Calis and Gambels permanaently up there. I don't understand how he manages to keep a score of 100%
Did you not give him a negative Suz?

No wasn't willing to risk receiving a retaliation NEG in return ... but He messed up his paypal account and requested I send payment to a different paypal ... which I never, so eggs ended up only costing me the wasted electric money .. lol
I reckon he's been getting away with by selling to newbies who don't know what to expect or blame themself for poor hatches ... everyone of those eggs he sent me were stinking duds

Re: wanted blue scale quail
I didnt realise that northwestquail is a member here. I had already contacted him through ebay but i think he said he's not selling anymore just yet.
I cant believe someone can get away with stuff like this
! I've had some real bad luck with eggs from ebay. The only ones that had a good fertility and hatch rate came from a member of this forum, which i didnt know at the time.
