My babies are moving out soon!!!
The hutch I received off a fellow freecycler, and the run my dad made
(and the little house inside).

Re: My babies are moving out soon!!!
Ahhh, well they have to grow up sooner or later.
I'd recomend putting something below the run so they don't make a mess of the patio, a simple piece of plywood would do. Also make sure it's fox/cat proof!

Re: My babies are moving out soon!!!
What a lovely little house
I'm sure the chicks will be really happy outside doing quailie stuff.
I have my arks & hutches on concrete and I find it makes cleaning out a doddle. I just brush up all the loose mess, scrub the concrete with disinfectant then hose down, on a nice day its dry again in no time, where as the breeding pens are a nightmare to disinfect as the plywood stains and warps.

Claire that looks ideal for the feather balls. They'll absolutely love it when you put them out into it. You could put in a tub of grass or something for them to forage through.

They'll be moved around the garden on the grass, so as not to wear it down.

And a recently made cover, complete with mini windows (one on either side of the run section)

Re: My babies are moving out soon!!!
wow, you've thought of everything for your babies. Lucky little things get a fresh patch of lawn every week, a diaper and a designer raincover. I want one of those for my ducks ;o)

Phill, the wooden ramp was too slippy for them so I got some old paint and mixed it with some grout? (about half/half). Now there's plenty of grip and they run up and down all the time.
