Quail Quarters
Here's a few pics of my quail shed so far
Shed as bought - bit tatty looking but sound

And progress so far

Just enough room left to get and clean out but hopefully this will keep it nice and cosy. And I have an incentive not to get fat as I wont be able to get in the door!
I'll add in some updated photos as we go in case it's helpful for anyone else. No matter how quickly it's built it'll never quick enough!

Re: Quail Quarters
Okay 2 sections completed (need to get more materials now)

Divider to make one large cage into 2 small

We put the light in the middle of the opposite wall so the light would reach into the bottom cages as well

And then we introduced the quails!!!

They seem to really like it!!
I've just got to add a few scatter cushions!!
Actually I'm serious as I need something to kneel for cleaning out and when I pop down with a cuppa.

Re: Quail Quarters
Any chance of you sending up your hubby to re-do my shed Harrie
- seriously what a super job's been done on yours, and your quail look well chuffed with it.
I've got a plastic garden seat in my quail house, and i quite often sit and watch them, when I'm needing peace from the kids - I'm thinking of moving the laptop & a TV in there and just moving in with them permanently:D

Re: Quail Quarters
Yay I'm really pleased with it! I can't take any credit - OH did it all but I did supply the tea and cake to keep him going.
I'll post a pic of the aviary when it's up but that may be a while. But they look nice and snug in their hutches for the winter.
And the annoying thing is I can't hatch any quail yet cos I have my Ross table bird eggs on order for next weekend. Oh well.

Re: Quail Quarters
Ooh sorry didn't know that deleting photo on photobucket would also delete them elsewhere. Especially as I didn't use a direct link. Hmmmm.
