Re: Loads of Chick Pics Part 2 - Orange??
Hi Suz,
One's going to be a fawn range, the others are more like a chocolate coloured range.
You'll have to come up with some names.lol.

And this is how the orange chicks turned out, only 1 kept is orange colour, the others are a strange colour which is much lighter than a normal type, still no idea what they would be called -

Re: Loads of Chick Pics Part 2 - Orange??
I think the orange range might actually be recessive cinnamon (cin/cin). Not sure about the paler normals.
Re: Loads of Chick Pics Part 2 - Orange??
Caramel - that's the colour they remind me of - stunning birds. Do you know if they are males or females yet or are they still too young?

Hi Suz,
That one looks very much like the one's I call Cinnamon, but your has more orange tinge to their feathers. I know they are not the same, as my chicks and yours are are very different.
Yes Suz, I know I must get a camera,lol.

Hi Suz,
The "normally looking ones" are the one's that are simular to my cinnamons. The first picture could be a fawn range, but it's darker than the one's I've seen.
We urgently need to get some photo's together so we can all have a say in what colour they are/to be called?
Derek.
ps
Going to asda in morning to buy a camera.lol

Oooh yes purlease. I'd love to know what's what colour size. I think I've just got gold and normals but I'm going to have a proper look at them in daylight.

The normal ones def aren't cinnamon - "The cinnamon is a dilution of the dark brown pigments of E/E (aka Range) to a cinnamon colour." That implies that a cinnamon bird would have range patterning rather than normal, I think...however it does mean that that bird has to carry range. Suz, if you do a test mating to a normal bird and get range chickies, then it must be cinnamon. If not its something different altogether!
