MY HEN HAS ESCAPED! Currently hiding in a huge bush
Erm.... any ideas? Or is she going to be cat/fox bait before the night is out?

Do you have a net?? If not maybe you could try enticing her with some mealworms scattered on the floor then throw a towel over her when she pops out? Or try some veggies that she likes?
Mine try to stay together so she might come out on her own if she can hear the others chattering

yup, she's definitely in danger of becoming someone's snack.
Use a broom handle to shoo her out of the bush and into the open so you can catch her. You can also try using an old sheet around the perimiter of the bush to isolate her. Then get on your hands and knees in there to catch her.

She's the skittish one I've been worried about. She was cetermined to escape, and now she's managed it. My cock is really quiet - he's just sitting there looking upset.
This bush is a nightmare. Luckily, she's so deep in there that the cats can't reach her (and Poppy next door is really trying). I've put the cock in the cage on top of a box with some food in it, but I can't leave him outside all night and she won't come out when I'm there. This could go on for days!!!
I'll find out a blanket in case she comes out.

I tried with a broom - she's just ended up more bedded in. She's damn stubborn!

I've got her!!!!
Blimey. I ended up banging the heck out of the branches and then got her cornered and threw a blanket on her. I popped her back in the male and he immediately jumped on her back! No wonder she wanted to escape....
Phew. Thanks for the support!

My skittish hen is still determined to escape the run! I think I need to cover the whole garden with a net, just in case...
