ok so i thought i would post a lil profile on chinese painted quail:

chinese painted quail

Latin name: excalfactoria chinensis/Coturnix chinesis

Approximate size: 4 - 5 inches

Incubation period: 16 - 17 days

Characteristics

.Will lay an egg a day if they have 12 or more hours of sunlight
.Somewhat easy to sex
.Easily kept in almost any environment
.Can be kept in pairs / (colonies) 1 male : 2/3 female
