Interestingly Big! Empty Interestingly Big!

I've found a rather huge (in my eyes) caterpillar Very Happy while walking through the park, its the second one i've seen for quite a few years, but the first caterpillar was brown. This one is around 2 1/2" - 3"
here's a picture of the little stunner Smile
Just thought someone may find it interesting

That looks like a poplar hawk-moth caterpillar to me. As adults they have a wing span of 3 1/2 in.

yes, its the hawk moth caterpillar.
The first time I saw one crawling around my compost bin I freaked but it turned into a nice insect, sadly it flew away before I could look at it for long.

get a little tank with pots and plants and loadz of leaves and put it in there just make sure you have a net over the top and watch it grow i done it with stickinsects once but i had 2 a male and female then they started to poo and did you know there poo is actually eggs well i certainly didnt woke up the next morning with about 2 million litterally all stuck on the kitchen and bathroom walls mum killed me Evil or Very Mad
