How do you fix the legs with masking tape? and how long does it normally take?

its easy. if they have curled feet cut a tiny square of tape and straighten the foot out and stick it to the bottom then stick another peice on top.dont press to hard. they look like little shoes. splayed legs cut a longish piece of tape, afew mm thick then rap it around one leg and then round the other with a gap in between like hand cuffs. it only takes about 4 hours, its very quick. i'll post some pics for you.Someone else on here suggested it and its worked for me.

this is abit fiddly to do and your chick will probably fall about for the first few minutes, dont worry, try keep it on for 4 hours. this chick is now perfect. My first chicks GxzZz2S

lovely little chick if that still doesnt help remove the flooring of your incubator and try some multi grip or like a lap- tray matting for tables and eating. ive only ever had 1 curled toes and the rest have always been fine.

Yes its a homemade incubator. made a plywood box then lined it with bubble wrap and card box with a sheet of perspex on the top. theres a 60 watt bulb over the incubator. was ok untill the 4th one hatched now lost temp in it but cant understand why.

my chick with the bent neck died about an hour ago. Crying or Very sad he seemed to be really strong and active this morning, went out to the shop and when i came back he was quite weak and cold so i made the box a bit smaller to try and warm the box up. went for tea came back and he was laid on his side dead. Not sure if he was eating or not so he could have died because i warmed him up without any food in him or he could have given up. Crying or Very sad
The other three are still doing fine cant believe how quick they've grown in 4 days. Very Happy
