Does anyone keep these?? I am researching which type I would like to keep and these look pretty. Do they have the same housing requirements as other quail. And do they fly?? If I put them in my top hutch would they need a ramp to come out into the aviary??

Thanks

hello harrie i keep califorians ? they are very nervous birds and will nener just jump onto your hand i have now hatched 3 batches and all are the same ? they are very flighty birds and like to perch off the ground so i think you will have no problem with a top hutch aslong as they have high things to sit on ? i recomend having a trap door system on your aviry so they dont get out cos they are really quick ? the plus side of keeping them is they are stunning looking birds and thier eggs get a good price on ebay ? hope this helps if you have any more questons on pm me
