werd quails sex

can female quails foam when vent sexed just av 2 white quails kept on there own and both foam when vent sexed thought 2 males but there was an egg in there today

i fort only males but there you go thats proves me wrong what do other people think :?:

mmmm.... you've obviously sexed them wrong to start off with, Quail don't spontaneously change sex.

Hens will produce a small amount of secretion, possibly lubrication for egg laying, you may have confused this as male foam. But to be honest once fully mature, there should be no confusion between sexes if vent checked.

My females sometimes do slightly frothy poos before/after laying, but not the thick white foam balls like males, so Suz is probably right with the lubricant idea.

ok it was like soapy bubbles like when u vent sex them lol ad hoped they where both males as well
