Anybody had this with a suspected female? I know males don't eat them...so I'm hoping this isn't a definate sign!

I think this is so funny Smile - someone forgot to tell my boys that there not meant to like mealworms as they go mental for them. To be honest I think the mealworm test is usually done on CPQ, what happens is when Mr CPQ wants to woo Mrs CPQ he will offer her a worm and/or do a little display dance, but as far as I'm aware the Japs don't have a courtship ritual they just get jiggy with it Very Happy

If its dried mealworms your using try soaking them before offering them to her.

yeah only my cpqs do a dance and dont usaly eat them but sometimes they do think its just a sort of myth

I don't think its a myth, but like I say I'm pretty sure the mealworm test only applies to CPQ in breeding condition.

My male jap offers mealworms to his mate all the time, he doesnt do a dance but he does strut and make little churring noises for her. Ed
