Doesn't like eating mealworms....

Anybody had this with a suspected female? I know males don't eat them...so I'm hoping this isn't a definate sign!

I think this is so funny - someone forgot to tell my boys that there not meant to like mealworms as they go mental for them. To be honest I think the mealworm test is usually done on CPQ, what happens is when Mr CPQ wants to woo Mrs CPQ he will offer her a worm and/or do a little display dance, but as far as I'm aware the Japs don't have a courtship ritual they just get jiggy with it

If its dried mealworms your using try soaking them before offering them to her.

all my boys eat mealworms too, dont think they can read the book i`ve been leaving for them to read

yeah only my cpqs do a dance and dont usaly eat them but sometimes they do think its just a sort of myth

I don't think its a myth, but like I say I'm pretty sure the mealworm test only applies to CPQ in breeding condition.

My male jap offers mealworms to his mate all the time, he doesnt do a dance but he does strut and make little churring noises for her. Ed
