Male Jap taken :)
He's very tame. Unless I control his crowing with a couple of guinea pig friends he's got to go
Can anyone give him a nice home?

Re: Male Jap taken :)
I doubt having guinea pig company will stop him crowing Claire .... He'll call to & respond to the other male. Some mornings my Japs are noisier than Mika while the males in each pen talk to each other
Re: Male Jap taken :)
aww its a shame you have get rid of him claire.why do you need to get rid of him do your neighbours complain or does he just annoy you.i have a noisy cockeral but i put him in a box at night to stop him crowing at early hours in the morning.i know this probably seems cruel but he seems fine and i spoil him rottem the rest of the time so everyones happy.i do know how you feel though i had to get rid of 3 male japs before because of noise there just isent much you can do.im sure an animal rescue place would take him????

Re: Male Jap taken :)
Think i missed you in chat again Dan . He doesn't annoy me but he's seriously annoying parents because he's crowing continually. However, it annoys them most in the early hours of the morning (we tried him in the downstairs toilet, near the kitchen but it scared the dog!!). What sort of box do you put him in? Cardboard? And how big is it?
He's lonely so I get him out most of the day to keep him company.
If there's anything I can do to stop/reduce the amount of crowing that would be great cos I don't wanna get rid of my baby!!

Ok, he definately needs some ladies, anybody want him? (if I can part with him ) Free to good home.
Re: Male Jap taken :)
Mr Quail has found a new home on a farm in a large aviary. It's a relative of my boyfriends and they've just lost 3 of their own quail due to old age, they don't have any close neighbours so if he's still noisy it won't matter. Anyway, I'm going to have a look around and take him Saturday morning

thats good news im glad he will be happy
