Shopping List...

Hi all.
I just wanted to check somethings before I finally get my japs!
Sorry, I have a lot of questions...

-Do I have to give hens oyster grit, or similar for calcuim everyday, or just a few times a week?
-Do you have to trim their beaks? or if I give them a cuttlefish bone will this be hard enough to wear it down?
-Will I have to trim their claws if they are kept on newspaper, and/or wood shavings?...hmm is that a good bedding for them? (The cage has a plastic bottom.)
-I understand that you need to give hens 14-16hours of light a day for them to lay, but how many days a year should I give them this so they can have a rest and be healthy?
-Are all their eggs good to eat or do you have to test them before you eat them?

Erm I think thats it, I will be very greatful for any input.
God I have read sooo much stuff about quails but I still feel like I don't know alot, guess I will learn more when I have my own. Hehe, cant wait!
