Well, about a week ago I decided it was safe to call Jake a she, and today she laid her first egg!

congrats! Today I decided another "girl" was really a boy in disguise. I have only two possible girls left. 7weeks old today no eggs yet. How old is Jake?

Errm...I think Jake was 13 days when he made the big trip down from Cumbria, so that puts him just over 6 weeks.

My general rule of thumb is that if there's no foam by 5.5 weeks then its a hen - only been caught out once!
