al be houseing my adult birds in cages 4 foot by 2 by 2 feet was wondering how many would that house i was thinking 1 male 4 females

Hi Adam
We were talking about stocking rates last night in the chat room. Legally you can keep quails in cages at the stocking rate of 160 sq cm. So your cages, you could put a massive 45 birds!
I would put maybe 10 birds in a cage that size, 2 males 8 females and they would still have 720 sq cm of space each. Derek.

i was thinking 5 1 male 4 females or 2 males 6 females would that be ok

they will be inside as pets as well forgot to say and al be giving eggs away or hatching some to sell on
