Shavings Everywhere!!!
Okay how does everyone else keep their blooming shavings inside the cage?? OH put a 2" litter board inside the bottom of the frame but this morning there are more shavings out than in!! Well perhaps that a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe I'll just have to sweep them out each day. Ho hum.

By having 10" sides
You should have seen the state of the car when I tried transporting them in a large wire hamster cage...It was like a scarecrow had exploded in there!

My quail do exactly the same, I brush it up in the morning come back from washing their dishes and the floors covered again.
I tried putting a strip of cardboard box accross the front which worked but I cant do that now because I've cut holes in the mesh for their water dishes.

Hi,
Try to use perpex at a litter board, you can have this as high as you wish. I've not found anything that will keep all the shavings in, there is always a mess on the floor each morning. It's just something you'll find each day.lol. Derek.
