I'm running out of room in my enclosed garden, and don't fancy putting the quail where there's a chance the village kids, dogs and possible predators could get at them until I persuade KP that I really do need the 10' shed that I keep sending him links too . I've got a large porch/conservatory that I used to use as beastie room, I was thinking of stacking a couple of these in there until KP gives in on the shed idea.

Re: CPQ Housing
The cage things came today, they look great just wish they were a foot wider then they would be perfect, I've got all 25 young CPQ in one double unit, but will group them off once I'm sure of their sex -
will post more pictures in the Gallery.

Re: CPQ Housing
I have budgie/finch breeding cages in my loft but never thought of using them before as I thought there wasn't a lot of floor space but I guess they are fine if there isn't many of them per cage. Let me know how they get on in their new accomodation Suz?

Re: CPQ Housing
I'm thinking about adding a couple of shelves at each end of it to increase floor space. But I'll get a better idea of what space they'll need once they've grown.
I sometimes buy parrot food from a woman who sells parrots, budgies etc. and breeds fancy finches and other wee birds, anyway she keeps her CPQ's in the same type of cages as her finches - her individual cages are about 24"x18" and if I remember right she keeps a few trio's together. I was hoping to get away with 4x trios in a double cage.
