EGGS!!!
Do any of you eat your Quails eggs?
I just can't it feels wrong. I can eat them if they come from the supermarket, but not from my girls. I was wondering if any of you feel the same as me? My hubby and his Dad love them, so do loads of friends and family, but not me.
I have 3 females laying at the minute and i get about 20-28 eggs a week, is that good or bad?

Re: EGGS!!!
Hi Batty,
On "bad" weeks when my eggs don't sell, my wife feeds them back to me!, How do you want your eggs? she'll say, fried, boiled or scambled.
My wife also cooks with them too, cakes, pies etc, they don't go to waste.
Derek.

Re: EGGS!!!
Yep I eat them, I have 5 hens and normally get 35 eggs a week so I give away some of the eggs too, as thats a lot of eggs to get through!
I feel a lot better about eating my eggs than those from the supermarket, i'm not a big fan of the egg industry, even free range loads of little baby boy chicks are killed straight after hatch - seems too much of a waste to me.
Plus they taste so very good

Re: EGGS!!!
Hard-boiled and eaten with celery salt - fabulous, or with garlic mayonnaise. All my friends put in orders for several dozen eggs whenever they are having parties or barbecues in the summer. There's always a queue for the spares.
Plus, it's not unknown to use up 72 eggs for lemon curd...
