HOW???????
I have been looking at all your lovely bird pictures and although i am desperate to show mine off i don't think i will ever dare to.
Honestly mone look like thay have been through a war zone, turned round and come back for another go. They are a bit baldy, especially on their heads and backs, they always look ruffled and scruffy.
How on earth do you keep yours so well and neat?

Re: HOW???????
Right i will definitly have a serious look at posting piccys tomorrow, but i can't seem to get it to work at all yet. Do you have any hints and tips for posting photos?
Oh don't bonking quails are the bane of my life right now. My 5 year old niece has an unnatural obcession with them right now and the "they are playing piggy backs" just isn't washing with her anymore!!!
Don't they look funny bald though, kind of appealling in a monkish way

I think all 5 year olds are unnaturally obsessed with bonking though - my 5 year old, had great delight in telling her teacher that we going to have baby bunnies 'cos the rabbits keep 'humping' each other *- I tried to explain there wasn't going to be any babies as their both boys

Re: HOW???????
What ratio are you keeping your quails, You will find if you have a high number of males your females will end up more bald and scruffy as there feathers dont have time to re grow quick enough, remember if you dont need fertile eggs you dont need males.
