SNOW!
Did anyone get snow today?
We kept having flurries and the gang were hysterical. They live outside now but i have covers on the hutch which i put over. The "Hutch Hugger" is great and has a clear front, so although they are snuggly they can see out. All 9 of them stood in line and watched the snow falling in amazement, then they had a bit of a chat about it, then back to watching. I stood in the kitchen watching them and it really did make me smile, i wish i could have got a photo, but i couldn't get a good photo through the cover, but i have plans for tomorrow.
Quails are great!

Re: SNOW!
hello welcome to our forum you remind me of myself about 5 years ago i hope you realise
just were this could all end up.
I love my quails so much as well and enjoy breeding them and selling their eggs on ebay.
i have 240 eggs set at this very moment god help me if most of them hatch out
but i have been through this many times before and i always cope somehow.
Im hatching them out with my partner and we have just set up our own little bussiness very
exciting we have been talking about doing it for so long and it is now all up and running.
quails have a way of growing on you and its not long before you start buying sheds to
house them im lucky cause i have a very big garden plus a piece of rented land which
we can expand onto now not bad for a old lady with a dream and a very helpful partner
who shares my dreams with me.
welcome to you i hope you enjoy our forum and find it very helpfull regards from joy

Re: SNOW!
We have snow too - hope its still there in the morning. My 10 chickens don't seem to mind it - and the quail are nice and snug in their aviary with lots of shelter.

Re: SNOW!
Not sure whether to write Happy Easter or Happy Christmas this morning!!! Wow we have lots of snow and the dogs are enjoying bringing it into the house after they have charged round the garden!!
I put tons of extra bedding in with the quails last night as well as some fantastic straw tunnels which they adore, 3 of them in one this morning i don't know how they did it but i think they are going for a world record!!
Goodness just had a major panic the stupid cats have eaten some of the dogs antibiotics and it was a manic vet call, these animals.

Your pets have certainly given you a 'run for your money' lately haven't they?
Didn't stop snowing all night and still is now
I am intrigued about your straw tunnel - can you take a photo please - I would love to see it.
