They are lovely - how many of each sex did you hatch?
I am sure Suz will be along to identify your 'ginger' ones. There has been some discussions on clarifying bird colours to avoid confusion.
Especially those which do not fall into the already recognised colours.
One of mine (which I used for my avatar) Derek recognised as a Cinnamon at the time - well I think it was that one - I am a beginner so not in the least bit qualified to answer these technical questions.

Re: pics of my 3 week old quail
Hi Lottie,
Well at the moment, it's only me that calls them Cinnamons (a name used back in 1996 when I first bought them). So they've been around a few years.
There are so many new colours coming a long and there is confusion on what these are called. I've got some greyish looking ones that are called "Platinum"?, but they look like blue to me, (same colour blue as in dogs and cats). But also, depending if they are normal pattern or range/tuxedo types they are different shades too, from very pale silver? to dark platinum/blue?
No idea what to call your ginger range type bird, but some one might like to try?
Derek.

It looks like they have the range patterning, if so then they are cinnamon.
Re: pics of my 3 week old quail
cheers everyone.
i thought they were cinnanon or fawn, but they are probarbly cinnamon as they dont have the spotting of the normal type!
i have a pair of normals, one male and three female italian, and the two gingers, i`ll have to wait for foam balls to sex those two tho.
some are supposed to be jumbo`s, so will have to wait and see who keeps growing.
have got them trained to use a rabbit water bottle already, so dont have to change the water 72 times a day.............shame i cant litter train them like my cats.............
lol

A rabbit water bottle? How well does that work out? And when did you introduce them to it?

Re: pics of my 3 week old quail
i used to have three aviarys ( lovebirds with cpq, mixed parakeets and a scary pair of senegal parrots ) and found it was more hygenic to use bottles.
its genius really.
from about 2 weeks old i put a bottle on the side of the rearing cage, and give it a little squeeze not and again, the chicks are really inquisitive and come for a look and give the spout a peck.
they`ve usually got the idea within two days,
and they are not drinking water they`ve either scratched all the litter into or worse!!!!
especially if i`ve got to go out for the day, they`ve got atre all the time!
