I was pulling your leg Adam I don't know if he's anything special, just a completely different colour to my other Bobs (well apart from his mum and sister that is)

he is nie tho love the realy dark face

He looks a bit like Red Tennesse variety that I've seen at Welwyn Quails, but different face and slightly different body shade. Could he be a cross with this strain?

His father will be a Northern Bobwhite - so he's definetly a cross, not sure if his mum is pure R Tennesse though.

He's definitely a cross though, as when he was laid I only had 2 Red Tennessee (both hens) mixed with the covey of Northerns.

Great pictures, did you use flash or natural light?

I find that closeups with flash can get a bit washed out.

Did you use the macro mode?

Thanks I can't remember if I suppressed the flash on these, but I did use micro mode - must admit its a super camera, just need to learn what all the bits do
