Lots of chicks!!

Over the last few days i have had lots of chicks hatching. Most are light sussex which are the yellow ones but there are also some gold laced orps, white orps, white cochins, RIR and a maran








Also here is a picture of one of the lav pekins on mum watching everyone else

i would love to hatch chicken eggs but my garden hasnt got the space.

Aww they're all so cute!

The ones with the mum are now 2 weeks and the ones in the brooder are day olds, apart from 3 blue and 1 black bantam orps which have been really good showing the new chicks how to eat and drink.

Unfortunately only 1 maran has hatched. Probaly the black orp you are talking abou they look quite similar it the moment for some reason.

Marans lay big brown eggs and are very populqr if you want to sell eggs

What a wonderful hatch Sammyboy - you must be very proud of them. Its wonderful keeping bantams isn't it.

Yer i love keeping them they all have their own personality. unfortunately most of the chicks are LF so will have to go
