Importing eggs?
Does any one know how I would go about importing mini-jap eggs to the states? Is that even possible? I mean could the shipping possibly be fast enough? Any info would be appreciated. Ed

Re: Importing eggs?
Ed,
I posted some shipping information on here about exporting and its more of a hassle that what its worth. Thats why alot of the commercial breeders do not ship outside the USA. If you want to ship eggs outside the country you have to have your eggs tested and then shipped in a very specific metal container and then you have to wait for Export paper which takes too long to process. The testing process and container is very expensive, that time I checked the test cost $5.00 an egg and the container was $100.00

hi mark
Wow that sounds very cost prohibitive, know anyone in the states with coturnix that are 4-5oz and no bigger? I'm sure I could breed them a bit smaller if I had that to start with. Ed

Ed,
I currently have several breeds of coturnix. There are several catalog sellers of them.

Yes I've seen many sites and have bought some eggs soon to be delievered. What I'm interested in is coturnix that are 4 oz, preferably 4oz for a female, And males even smaller. Know anyone who has that? Most breeders keep very large birds, kinda hard to find someone who doesnt. Ed
