Covering the cage
Another daft question for you.... I have a rabbit hutch (with an extended run - will get pics up when its not raining!) and some plastic sheeting, will I need to cover the quails cage if it's really stormy? Will it do any harm or will they get too hot?
Re: Covering the cage
I use a big blue woven waterproof sheet from B&Q to cover my hutch & arks if it get too rainy, no ill effects so far
PS. I leave mine to run about the run while covered with the sheet.

Re: Covering the cage
They do need to be kept dry, yes. You could shut them in the hutch when the weather is really nasty.
