Re: Marriages Quail Pellet
Mine love the Dodson and Horrell Layer pellets (by royal appointment).
I get these from the pet superstore in Woking £6.69 for 20kg.
Did try the local Marriages supplier in ottershaw, but they keep no stock.

Re: Marriages Quail Pellet
The store is Pets at Home.
They have a store in Crawley. If they do not stock in Crawley I am sure they will get you some in.
When ever I leave the store in Woking the girl behind the counter, is very polite and asks me if I have found everything that I need. I normally say that no I have not found quail feeders or drinkers. She then looks a bit confused and I pay and leave.
Thanks

If you have no luck let me know, we can drop some off next time se are at the mother inlaws. You could pay me in eggs!

Re: Marriages Quail Pellet
Marriage's feed is great, or at least my birds seem to think so. Protein is higher than normal layers food, and quail should have over 20% protein. Not sure how many birds you have, but if its not going to add *that* much to the cost of feeding i'd recommend it. The pellets are also small, so ideal for feeding from 3 weeks up (I have now given up with turkey grower as the quail pellets are the same protein levels).
Would they not order an extra bag in for you, HA? My nearest marriage's stockist just orders a single bag in for me when I phone and ask. Speaking of that, Roh - should I ask them to get 2 bags in and let you know so you can go pick one up?

Re: Marriages Quail Pellet
The Marriages agent near me will order anthing that I want. They say that they order most months.
Last time I missed the orded so popped into pet place and got a 20kg of good named brand layer pellets for £6.69.
My bantam chicks and quail love them. for the quail chicks I break them up with a food processor.
They eat them no problem.
Thanks

Re: Marriages Quail Pellet
Hi sorry its rare I go south toward Crawley and your right diesel money would make the price of the food an expensive steak so impracticable.
On a note of other feeds I don’t disagree, I have tried lots of feed including a 100% natural diet but every time noticed that when feeding on this specific Quail pellet eggs increased, fertility increased and also it seems they were more lively.

Well i'll order them in anyway and pick up the two bags, then we can figure out when I can come and get a range and bring you a bag over! If we can't arrange something soon my chicks will soon be on pellets so i'm not going to be stuck with an extra bag.
Re: Marriages Quail Pellet
ha i was about to reply to say i have a few spare bags on way but your emmm, not just round the corner should we say.
