There are 10 quail in there 70 pheasant and 20 english partridge. and yes the CD is something to try and avoid pecking, pecking in phesant starts very early and if it gets going its almost imposibble to stop so i have been using CD's and tinfoil strips to try and make them peck that instead of each other.

Another picture now 11 days old

I crinkle up a strip of tin foil and then sticky tape it to an old carboard toilet roll. They peck it try jumping on it and just generally bop it around. I've also wrapped an old ball in tin foil.
