i've too noticed that alot wern't an inch before they pupated strange, doesnt seem to affect their ability to breed though.

Well just checked my other waxworm culture Ange and found hundreds of tiny (less than 0.5cm) waxy's i tried to take a picture but they are way too small lol.

Mealworms are the larvae of a the flour beatle, while waxworms are the larvae of a moth. Neither are really worms, despite their common names. They are both excellent food for birds. Particularly during the breeding season.
