Hi Harrie,
Is that your new MS 35 incubator?
I got a hatch out of one of those incubator this morning too. I think I should of used a towel, or some rubber matting as three chicks had straddled legs. (culled)
How did you take that photo without opening the door?
Derek.

I wouldn't have expected to have splayed legs without the towel in there Derek. As it's a wooden drawer and not very slippery. Well mine isn't - I just put a towel in to help with cleaning up really.

i use something called multi grip that you would put on tables and it stops the sprayed legs and i have no problems its rubber so its easy to wash.

Not a brill hatch lottie - 7/22 golds and 9/24 white a&m so far. Still have the rest in the hatcher but I only need 5 hens and 1 male so plenty for me.

I just used a really light wire mesh. Very thin. Requires a little more strength to rip than paper. Worked amazingly.
