Hi can anyone tell me how to wash eggs properly?
I just recieved some through the post and although they were extremely well packed nearly half of them have broken Mad and have leaked all over the good ones. If not washed could this affect fertility? And could it still affect fertility even if they are washed?
I'm so annoyed. It looks like the postman must have jumped on them or something.

Ideally, you don't want to wash them. If you've got a righ ole mess, then you have no choice. I had to clean a few after I had some rotten eggs explode in my incubator. sign01 eBay eggs!!!

I've read that you should clean them quickly in warm water (about 35C). Ideally the disinfection solution should be warmer than the egg, to draw the contaminats out. Apparently if you use cool water, you risk drawing the contaminants into the egg.

You can use Brinsea egg disinfectant and I have been told a weak solution of miltons works as well. And water about blood temp - not too hot and not to cold.
