Re: chicks nearly 3 weeks old
No - I have 3 of these boxes & 2 indoor plastic rabbit cages that I use for brooders, When they first hatch I keep them all together, but as they grow I seperate them to give them more room, this picture was taken when I stuck them all in one box when cleaning them out, It was easier that way so people could see the various size difference between species.
Re: chicks nearly 3 weeks old
Oh i've no idea - they are B&Q's largest storage/toy boxes (have no idea where the tape measure is) & 2 of these, but bought from local pet store -

Re: chicks nearly 3 weeks old
Hi,
I use the indoor rabbit cages too. You can also buy clip on light connections from Wilkingson for a few quid,These are placed on the wire at each end.For the first week or so, I also place a towel over the top of the wire lid, so to keep all the heat in.They are lightweight, very easy to clean too.I've used these cages for a number of years now, and I've only have one die in them.
