broody Hens And Humidity
hi all its been playing on my mind that all the brooder chickens and quail hens that hatch eggs how do they make the humidity rise with their bodies or do they just leave it natural thanks alot.
Re: broody Hens And Humidity
On the last few days when you would raise the humidity in a incubator, you spray the eggs or drip a bit of warmish water on them when the broody is off the nest having her daily feed,water..etc..

what i dont get is.. if your incubating eggs naturally why the need to still spray/drip water on eggs? :S
Re: broody Hens And Humidity
lol i just wonder if the hen naturally turns the eggs does she still turn them during hatch date as they dont know when they are going to hatch unless some1 told them lol.
Re: broody Hens And Humidity
could be a good science experiment for you guys Why not put a thermostat/hygrometer under a broody hen and take regular readings of temperature and humidity
Re: broody Hens And Humidity

Re: broody Hens And Humidity
