Re: Shed's Arrived
Thank Derek
The sheds 10' x 6' and I've made the big cages 8' x 3' forgetting that you dont actually get the full 6' inside the shed.

Re: Shed's Arrived
Well I've made the lids, they don't fit very well, but I'm pretty sure they'll keep the quail in .
While I was out in the shed I measured the space left - unfortunately there's not enough room to put narrow cages under the window (need all 3' to get my bum in for cleaning out ) So I've experimented with removable dividers, the only problem is the shared cage front -
(nestbox design pinched from my chinchilla's dust bath)

Re: Shed's Arrived
Still not quite finished, I've ran out of wood for the bottom cage fronts, but I've started to put some of the quail into the shed.

Re: Shed's Arrived
Hi Harrie,
There about 8" square - just copied from an old chinchilla dust bath, but I'm going to make them longer next time - silly quailies all want to use the same box

Re: Shed's Arrived
Lined out the shed and now to partition into hutches. We've lined the long side so will have 7'ish x 2' hutches and I'm gonna have 2 doors with a removable divider across the middle of each hutch so I can split these into 3.5 x 2 if and when necessary for breeding, splitting groups etc. I thought that was a neat idea and so did OH. So this means I can have 4 really big hutches or 8 smaller ones.
Can't wait - glad there arent many eggs around at the mo.
