Here's a couple of comparison photos of my mini Jap (88g/3oz) @ 6wks on Monday and a normal Jap (174g/ 6 1/8oz) of the same age.

they're cute, take up half the room, but lay the same size eggs as normal japs. I supose if you like Coturnix quail is just nice to have another example/mutation of the species Smile

My Mini's are 6weeks old tomorrow, the boys have started crowing, so I'm hoping thats a sign that they'll be getting down to business soon. I will easily send you some mini Jap eggs once they start laying if you like. Just PM me your address

Aw thanks that's kind of you. I'm gonna try to hold off hatching more quail until OH has shed up and hutches in Rolling Eyes . But I have to say I'm itching to get incy going again. It's addivtive!!

My mini's aren't laying yet, but I believe there's no difference in their laying capability. But I'll let you know Smile
