hatching ginger ninjas?
Just thought I'd let everyone know. The batch of eggs I set on late afternoon of 26 March are starting to hatch in drips and drabs. One hatched around Friday midnight 11 April. He/she was joined by 2 others early this morning before I left the house. Then I came back this evening just in time to watch another hatch. So far 4 (I think 2 gold and 2 normal) hatched from 24 of Derek's lot. None of Harry's 12 have pipped yet.
Bit blurred, but more pics and hopefully more chicks tomorrow...

Ta guys,
The incubator is a styrofoam box lined with sand and the electronics I cribbed from an Rcom3 incubator. I couldn't get a decent enough themostat easily, so I made do.

Re: hatching ginger ninjas?
my dad made me a home-made job with a glass front, and we used 2 60w light bulbs with a habistat thermostat for reptile heat mats.
looked very crude, but hatched chickens, ducks, quail, and golden pheasants in it!
